Capcom announced that a demo for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on October 20. This trial version allows players to experience the game's early story and character creation features ahead of the full launch.
The demo supports local wireless multiplayer, enabling users to test the game's cooperative mechanics on the hardware. Additionally, progress made during this trial period can be transferred to the final retail version of the game.
The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the title is scheduled for release on December 4. It will include all update content previously provided for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.
Looking further ahead, Capcom plans to release a major downloadable content expansion titled Ascendance in 2027. This expansion will be available across all platforms, including PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
