Rockstar Games has announced a massive musical expansion for Grand Theft Auto VI, featuring a diverse lineup of international superstars. With a total production budget exceeding one billion dollars, the studio aims to establish the game as a significant cultural influencer, moving beyond traditional financial motivations for its high-profile collaborators.

The game introduces significant gameplay innovations regarding audio, including the franchise's first-ever on-demand podcasts. Players controlling Jason and Lucia can now listen to radio stations or podcasts while on foot by using headphones connected to their in-game smartphones, enhancing overall immersion.

The soundtrack features six thematic stations, including the debut of a dedicated metal station, The Chamber 106.6, hosted by Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya. Other notable contributors include Bad Bunny hosting Cocoteo FM, Lana Del Rey on Back Country Radio, and Burna Boy leading the new AfroBank FM. The project includes hundreds of licensed tracks and 34 original compositions.

This collection represents the most exhaustive audio experience in the series' history. By incorporating a wide range of genres such as Classic Rock, Modern Hip-Hop, Latin, and Electronic, Rockstar Games continues its tradition of prioritizing music, a core element rooted in the studio's founding history.
