He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is officially scheduled for release on February 4, 2027. Developed by Bitmap Bureau in collaboration with Mattel and Clear River Games, this retro-inspired brawler will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
The game features 2D pixel-art gameplay inspired by the 1980s animated series. Players can choose from four playable characters—He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and Teela—to navigate 13 distinct stages, including Snake Mountain and the Royal Palace. The title supports both solo play and two-player local co-op, pitting heroes against iconic villains like Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Trap Jaw.
Limited Run Games will distribute two physical editions. The standard physical version is priced at $29.99, while the $99.99 Collector’s Edition includes a steelcase, a mini-comic by Dark Horse Comics, epoxy pin badges, and a He-Man Power Sword replica. The Collector's Edition also features an acrylic standee of He-Man on Battle Cat and lunchbox-style packaging.
Following an August preview, the title has been noted for its potential to be the first successful He-Man video game. This release arrives after the Masters of the Universe project on Prime Video, which achieved success on the streaming platform despite box office struggles.
