Square Enix Collective has officially returned as a publishing label, partnering with developer BetaDwarf to release the extraction action RPG Vaultbreakers. The collaboration was announced during the Triple-i Initiative showcase, where the companies debuted a fresh trailer for the title.
Vaultbreakers is designed as a top-down, high-stakes experience that supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer. The gameplay loop centers on heroic brawler combat against difficult bosses, exploration of a reactive world, and the retrieval of lost relics before attempting a successful escape.
The game offers diverse engagement through both PvE and PvPvE modes. This partnership highlights the re-established mission of Square Enix Collective, which aims to provide investment and publishing support to independent studios while ensuring developers maintain creative control over their projects.
Interested players can currently access a free demo for Vaultbreakers on Steam. Square Enix Collective is also actively seeking new project proposals and pitch submissions from studios of various sizes to foster long-term industry partnerships.
