Plaion has officially opened pre-orders for Metro 2039, which is scheduled for release on February 4, 2027. The title will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a special incentive for early buyers.
Players who pre-order the game will receive the Specialist Pack, a downloadable content set featuring three blueprints. These allow for the early unlocking of unique, interchangeable backpack upgrades, specifically the weapon smith, chemical technology, and ammunition specialist bags.
The game is offered in three distinct versions. The standard edition costs 69.99 euros. The Deluxe edition is priced at 99.99 euros digitally or 109.99 euros physically, the latter including a metal case and a hardcover art book. A collector's edition, exclusive to GAME in Spain, retails for 299.99 euros and includes the game, a usable Spartan helmet replica, and a story expansion DLC.
Regarding the gameplay, Vandal's impressions suggest that if the played section is representative of the full experience, 4A Games may have created one of the best titles in its genre, citing its level design and diversity of situations.
