The League of Legends Patch 26.20 update not only adjusts champions, but also limits the availability of replays. According to 4Gamers, players will henceforth only be able to watch matches they personally participated in, and others will no longer be able to download those replays. The announcement linked this change to security issues regarding the prevention of malicious use of game data.

The restriction has sparked community discussion about learning tools. Pro player Jankos pointed out that watching high-ELO replays previously helped regular players, coaches, and analysts study mechanics and jungle paths. The report did not confirm at the time whether professional teams would receive an alternative solution, so community expectations cannot be written off as an announced feature.

Champion adjustments are aimed at diversifying World Championship picks. Ambessa's late-game damage and K'Sante's survivability and trading power have been nerfed, while Kindred's jungle clearing and chasing, as well as Kennen's sustained damage, have been buffed. Kennen is also affected by changes to Hextech Rocketbelt, so patch outcomes cannot be fully judged by champion buffs alone.

In the bot lane, Ashe's damage and Yunara's laning and crowd control capabilities have been nerfed, while Smolder, Vayne, Lucian, and other characters received adjustments. The patch also coincides with promotional plans for HEARTSTEEL's new song and skins, along with the True Damage Worlds theme song; the actual tournament pick impact still needs to be verified in matches.
