Kakao Games has announced that the action RPG Path of Exile 2 is scheduled for an official release on December 12. This launch follows an early access period that began in December 2024, during which the developers focused on expanding the game's campaigns, classes, and endgame content.
The full version of the game will transition to a free-to-play model, allowing broader access for players. To support the domestic market, Kakao Games provides localized Korean language support, dedicated local servers, and specific benefits for PC bang users.
Ahead of the release, Grinding Gear Games will host ExileCon 2026 in New Zealand on November 7 and 8. During this event, the developer plans to reveal key details regarding the final version and offer attendees hands-on experience with new content, including the Duelist class.
In anticipation of the launch, Kakao Games is conducting a domestic user verification event linked to global pre-registration. Participants have the opportunity to win merchandise such as limited-edition figures, mugs, and desk pads as the title aims to strengthen its position in the global action RPG market.
