On October 6, developer Offbox released a new gameplay trailer for Fling Up Together, a physics-based cooperative platformer. The title is designed for two players who must navigate a vertical world consisting of floating islands and ruins while tethered together by a single rope.
The core mechanics revolve around active rope usage, where players must pull and throw each other to ascend. Unlike passive tether systems, the rope acts as a tool to launch partners across gaps or catch those falling. However, poor coordination can lead to failure, as any player's fall resets the team's progress.
Teamwork is further enforced through color-coded platforms that only allow specific players to stand on them. This design forces constant communication and mutual reliance, as one player must clear a path for the other. Developers stated they aimed for a cooperative experience where players constantly determine each other's fate.
Fling Up Together currently offers a free demo on Steam. The full version of the game is scheduled to launch exclusively through the Steam platform.
