Kakao Games recently held a live broadcast for its new MMORPG, Dokkaebi World, featuring Business Manager Cha Myung-soo and Director Jang Su-min. The developers addressed early launch issues and outlined a roadmap for future content, including a significant overhaul of the game's combat and growth balance.
A primary focus of the upcoming update is the restructuring of the Dosul system. Players will have their current Dosul enhancements reset, excluding Awakening, and will receive a full refund of all resources previously spent on these upgrades. Additionally, the use of Yohonseok for opening Dosul will be temporarily disabled until the update is implemented.
The developers are introducing several quality-of-life improvements, such as adding random bonus stats to rare-grade equipment and above. Furthermore, the team is actively addressing concerns regarding field bosses, botting operations, and the high cost of potion items, with plans to adjust currency acquisition and implement stricter combat power requirements to ensure fair gameplay.
Looking ahead, the studio plans to release a major update in January, with additional content drops scheduled on a monthly basis. The team is also exploring new features, including a 'Commander-in-Chief' rank for top-ranked players and expanded access to the Falling Battlefield, to improve the overall player experience.
